Meet Laurie

I was born and raised in central Pennsylvania. My mother was an emergency room physician and my father, a businessman. My grandmother was an interior designer, and I've been told I caught that gene.

 

I first attended college in North Carolina before transferring to Tulane University in New Orleans.

After graduating from Tulane Architecture School with both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Architecture, I moved to Baltimore to live with my sister. There I took classes at the Maryland Institute of Art with my future husband before we decided to move together and start a new life in the mountains of western NC.

I worked at a prominent architecture firm in Asheville for several years before starting my own business, creating and selling my mixed-media wall pieces. My work was published in several magazines and books (Clay Times, Niche Magazine, Surface Design for Ceramics) and I won many awards including Best in Show at Artisphere in Greenville, SC in 2008. I was accepted into the Southern Highland Craft Guild in 2007 and am still an active member.

 

The decision to shift into the world of real estate came when I realized it would be the perfect match for me: I love residential architecture and I love helping people. I've worked at multiple real estate firms and helped hundreds of clients buy and sell homes. I enjoy running my own firm as I'm better able to tailor my services to suit your needs. I'm a hard worker, personable, honest, and I have a talent for getting things done.
